A plan to stop losing!
6 of the last 10-years I've not come close to a very aggressive goal. A plan to turn things around.
Six of the last 10-years, this year included, I’ve stated the goal of running 1500-miles in a single year. The closest I’ve come is running about 1000-miles. I know I’m physically capable of making the goal; however, I’ve never sniffed it. This year I’m only a couple of hundred miles into the plan.
So, what’s wrong? Analyzing the efforts, I’ve reached some of the critical smaller goals.
I’d have to run an average of roughly 29-miles a week - Check - My personal best (PB) is about 40-miles
I’d have to run about 125-miles a month - Check - My PB is about 130-miles
If you are sensing a trend, I’d have to average my personal best for 12-months. So, as part of my 100-day to the end of the 2021 goal, I plan to run 500-miles. That will either help me identify my breaking point or help me develop the discipline to reach the big annual goal.
