Kubernetes and Mainframes
Linux on the Mainframe isn't anything new so K8s and mainframes should be the next move, right?
I know your first question, why? Chris M. Evans and I discussed this a bit in today’s podcast episode. It’s one of the geekier conversations I’ve had on that platform. Of course, I’m biased, but I think it’s a good listen. Check it out.

I wanted to make the main point on this forum, what’s old is new again. I’ve been having the scale-up vs. scale-out conversation frequently lately.
It’s still easier to turn the knob on the infrastructure vs. developing for a scale-out infrastructure. So what’s a bigger scale-up system than a mainframe?
Also, the message companies such as Hashicorp preach is to build a bridge between the mainframe legacy and cloud-native applications. Chris and I touched on the topic at the end of the podcast.
