Web Assembly on The Server Side
I ran into one of the least likely languages at Kubecon C++ in the We browser
With so much talk of Go, Python, and JAVA at Kubecon EU, I ran into the surprise that it was .NET and C++. During a theCUBE interview, I got to talk to Colin Murphy, a Senior Software Engineer with Adobe.
Colin gave me a crash course on Web Assembly. The promise of write-once run anywhere gets me every time. It is Kubecon, and the point of containers is application portability. Adobe delivers Photoshop via the web browser. Photoshop is written in C++. So, I guess there’s some truth to the write-once run anywhere.
This week, I had Colin on the podcast to do a deep dive on server-side Web Assembly.
