I’ve given the idea of the data infrastructure a lot of thought over the years. I look at the ability to leverage the same data across SaaS, IaaS, and private data center as the biggest challenge and opportunity in enterprise IT. I enjoyed watching a Google Cloud interview with Key Bank Chief Data Officer. I’ve ran into the Key Bank CDO in my travels and his story was one that was familiar to me.
It’s a worthwhile interview as Mike Onders gave some tactical suggestions for leveraging Google Cloud data services. It lead me to pay close attention to Google Cloud Next Keynote for what they called Data Cloud.
With household names such as MLB, it Google Cloud has caught my attention.
Adjacent to this topic is a look I’ve given HPE’s Data Services Cloud Console (say that five times fast). I’m excited about all of these entries in data infrastructure. Google seems to be leading the way. I’d love your feedback, who am I discounting behind Google?
